IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT THE 34TH ANNUAL SPRING CONFERENCE
For the past couple of weeks, the IAN staff and board have closely watched the developing situation around the COVID-19 virus and the recent diagnosis here in Illinois and across the county. We have worked closely with the hotel management and their national staff who has been in constant contact with the Centers for Disease Control. Please know that the health and safety of our conference attendees are of paramount importance to us, and we do not want to jeopardize our members’ ability to do their work. We know that communities, families and school partners-and the youth themselves-depend on our conference attendees to keep them safe and provide services-even during times of challenge and crisis. For these reasons, the IAN Board of Directors voted unanimously to move the IAN Spring Conference to Friday, October 9, 2020.
Because we are not canceling the event, rather postponing it, the current IAN refund/cancellation policy remains in effect. Even though the hotel canceled our room block, if you had planned to stay at the hotel, call to make certain that your reservation has been canceled.
Please know that this was a very difficult decision for us to make as it was not taken lightly. This will be the first time in our 35 year history that we have postponed our conference.
We truly appreciate your understanding with this matter and look forward to seeing everyone at the conference in October!
