Raising Ready Readers: Parent Edition
How many times have you heard your child say, “I don’t like reading! Reading is so boring!”? Does your child shut down, space out, or complain when presented with a book? Reading is often seen as a chore or punishment, especially for a child that struggles with it. In this parent café, we will look at various ways to make reading into that beautiful thing that kids enjoy… FUN! Come learn various games/activities that you can use at home to help promote reading skills all while having fun with your child.
This session is geared toward parents of children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Free resources will be given out to all in attendance.
