Five Core Principles to a Trauma-Informed Setting in After School

During this session, we will discuss how to implement the five core principles of trauma-informed care into the after school setting. 1. Review safety; 2. Staff and students trustworthiness; 3. Providing trauma-informed choices; 4. Incorporating empowerment; 5. Work in Collaboration with youth and family. By the end of training programs will receive the core principles and strategies to promote a trauma-informed environment in the after school space. The session will be facilitated by IAN Trainer Karen Sims, Meridian K. Consulting.

Registration Information: You must pre-register for this training.  Registrations will be accepted until the capacity for the training has been reached. IAN training policy states that late arrivals after the 15 minutes grace period will not receive a training certificate and may be asked to leave if seating is not available.
