The Illinois AfterSchool Network will recognize and celebrate the diversity of the children of Illinois, and will act to increase the representation and participation in Network activities of persons who are members of minority elements by reasons or race, religion, ethnicity, gender, geographic location, handicap, or sexual orientation. The President, Nominating Committee and Conference Committee will attempt to select persons who will act to further these goals in all Network activities, including but not limited to: training, advocacy, resource allocation, and quality enhancement; and to achieve the Network's purpose as stated in the By-Laws for the benefit of every child regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, geographic location, handicap or sexual orientation.
