Training Topic: Working with Diverse Learners in our After School Program

This interactive session offers practical and proactive strategies as well as an inspirational message for those professionals who work with diverse learners (formerly children and youth with disabilities). The professionals will be given the opportunity to become involved in candid and thought provoking discussion on how to plan an effective role in the life of a diverse learner. We will also look at major trends, issues, challenges and resources ahead for professionals, as well as parents. Come prepared to share your successes and challenges as we talk in detail about ways to support diverse learners. The session will be facilitated by Leslie Hampton, IAN Trainer and Operations Director, Health and Nutrition, YMCA of Metro Chicago
