2020 – 2021 Professional Development Schedule
The Illinois AfterSchool Network has posted Distance Learning Sessions for providers through February of 2021. We continue to offer a diverse array of Professional Development offerings for front-line, emergent and seasoned leaders in the field.
Below is a link to a copy of our Professional Development Roundtable Discussion hosted on Friday, September 25. The presentation contains an overview and contact information for Thought Leaders in our state who offer Professional Development opportunities to providers specific to the after school community here in Illinois! Many thanks to our strategic partners who were part of the engaging conversation.
Resources for Reopening
As programs prepare to open in the fall, the Illinois AfterSchool Network has prepared a listing of valuable resources to assist with reopening amid Covid.
Resources for Discussing Race, Racism, & Diversity
With the national focus on race, racism, and diversity, it can be difficult to meaningfully engage youth into the conversation. Complex topics may be confusing or tricky for those of any age, but youth may be of particular concern. The Illinois After School Network is pleased to offer resources that can help guide your path to a greater understanding.
Tools for Use During Shelter in Place
Are you or your parent clients looking for things to do during the Shelter in Place Covid event? We have resources for At-home activities that youth can log into for continued learning during the time that they are out of school?
COVID-19 Resources for Talking with Youth
Are you looking for ideas to help discuss the recent outbreak with children? We’ve assembled some resources related to the Corvid19 that our Mental Health Consultants put together to share with providers in the field.
